REMOVAL
1. Drain the gasoline from the fuel tank and carburetor into
an approved container.
2. Remove the throttle cable from the clamp, and
disconnect the cable end from the engine control base.
3. Remove the recoil grip and rope from the handlebar
(P. 11-12
).
4. Drain the engine oil (P. 3 -6
) and reinstall the oil dipstick.
Continue to keep the mower tilted on its right side so the
carburetor is facing up.
5. Remove the blades (P. 4 -2
). Use a pair of thick leather
gloves to hold the blades with your hand to prevent the
blades from turning, and then remove the two blade bolts
and special washers.
6. Disconnect the Roto-Stop return spring and then
remove the lower end of Roto-Stop cable (P. 4 -2
).
