4. ONLY ONE WHEEL PROPELS OR ONE WHEEL
INTERMITTENTLY STOPS ROTATING UNDER LOAD
Clean and inspect the pinion gear assemblies and
wheel gears for damage and proper installation.
Refer to page 3-16
to disassemble, grease, and
reassemble the pinion gear assemblies.
Note:
The ratchet key is unique for each side. The ratchet
holder, pinion, and spring must be installed in the
appropriate direction for the left and right wheel pinion
assemblies.
5. TRANSMISSION LEAKS OIL
a. Remove and clean the transmission (P. 1 3- 1
), and
check to identify the source of the leak.
• Replace the leaking seal(s) or O-ring as shown on
page 13-10
.
• Fill the transmission to the proper level with SAE
10W-30 SN oil.
b. Reinstall the transmission (P. 1 3 -1
), and proceed to
the Smart Drive Cable Adjustment procedure (P. 3 - 1 0
).
