Here
you can
see
how
programming
and mirroring,
described on
the
previous
page, can
be used to
compose
your
own patterns.
You
can, for example,
program
various
patterns
the
original
way as
in the top
illustration,
or
the same
pattern
once the
original way
and once
mirrored,
as in the center
illustration.
This
illustration
shows
one pattern
the
original
way
between
the
two which
have
been
mirrored
alternately.
Here is
a
border
illustrated
where
the
same pattern
has
been sewn
twice. By
means
of
mirroring,
you
can sew
the seam
in the same
direction,
making
it
easier to get
a
perfectly
matched
result.
Cross-stitching
There
are two
patterns
on
cassette
2 that
can be used
for
sewing cross-stitch.
If you
sew
the
single
cross-stitch
you
will
get a row
of cross-stitching
as
the
first
part
of
the
illustration
shows. The
rest shows the
stitch
sewn
the original
way
and mirrored
alternately.
When you
sew
the
double
cross-stitch,
you
will
have
two
rows
of
matching
cross-stitches
close
to each
other.
Here
is
the
single cross-stitch
programmed
once
the
original way,
once
mirrored and
then
the
original
way
once more,
followed
by
two
double
cross-stitches.
The
rest is
attained
if you
mirror the first
rows
of
stitching
and then sew
the
program
once
more to
the
right,
matching
the first
rows.

can see the
extent
of the pattern,
i.e.
how
much
the machine
sews
when you program
the
stitch
once
and
