6.2.8 Circuit Board Segments
1.
Disconnect
all
the
cabl
ing
at
the
gate.
2. Remove
the
top
and
the
bottom
board
mount·
ing
screws.
3. Pull
the
outermost stiffener straight
out
until
it
is
free
of
the
alignment pins.
4. Remove
the
affected circuit board segment(s)
by inserting the guide pins into the
alignment
holes
in
the
inner stiffener, starting
in
card
column
"H".
Ensure
that
the
numerals and
"This Side
Out"
(pin side) face
out
and
that
the
"arrows" point upward. Seat
the
segment(s) firmly into all the card connectors.
5. Reinstall
the
outer
stiffener over
the
align·
ment pins with
the
numeral
"2"
at
the
top
and the "arrows" pointing upward.
6. Reinstall
the
mounting hardware and ensure
that
the
card holders are equally centered in
the gate opening; then tighten
the
screws
and
reinstall the cabling.
7. Check by using procedure 3.3.1 through step 2
of
3.3.1.3 (Test Mode 3) and procedure 3.3.2.2.
6.3 CRT
I
DANGER
All
persons handling a CRT
or
who are near
an
exposed CRT under vacuum must wear safety
glasses
and
long-sleeved garments.
1.
Disconnect
the
power cord
at
the
wall
receptacle.
2.
Remove
the
left, right, and
top
covers.
3.
Open
the
logic gate by loosening
the
front
mounting screw
located
in
back
of
the
high·
voltage supply.
4.
On
units with the security keylock feature:
a. Mark
the
location
of
the
keylock assembly
mounting bracket on
the
side
of
the
frame.
