12.2 Draining and Refilling
About every 3 months, you will want to replace the swim spa’s water. The frequency depends
on a number of variables including the amount of use, number of users, aenon paid to wa-
ter quality maintenance etc. During this me, it is also recommended that you clean the inter-
nal plumbing lines from buildup and debris.
CAUTION! READ THIS BEFORE DRAINING: To prevent damage to the swim spa components,
turn off power to the swim spa at the circuit breaker before draining it. Do not turn the pow-
er back on unl your swim spa has been refilled.
CAUTION: There are certain precauons to keep in mind when draining your swim spa. If it is
extremely cold, and the swim spa in outdoors, freezing could occur in the lines or the equip-
ment (see WINTERIZING). On the other hand, if it is hot outdoors, do not leave the swim spa’s
surface exposed to direct sunlight.
