When the System 1s being used. the display shows other items as well.
However, we have only shown the tems described in this section.
The timers fets you control recording and listening functions automatically.
Three types of timers are available:
@ DAILY Timer ... Use this mer to set wake up everyday to music frum any source. instead of an
alarm clock,
Mi ONCE REC (Recording) Timer — Unattended recording of radio broadcasts. You can set the
starting time and length of the recording.
Mi SLEEP Timer — Fall asleep and have your System turn off automatically after a certain length of
time.
Note: ff vou try to seleeta Timer mode without setting the clock. “CLOCK” and “ADJUST” are
displayed alternately on the display. und vou will be unuble to set the timer function. (See page 8 “Setting
the Clock”.
Setting the DAILY Timer
With this timer you can wake up to music froma CD, tape. your favorite radio program.

1. Set the hour by pressing the <4 ¢ or > >» cursor key.
Pressing the > mr! cursor key tncreases the hour, and
pressing the @@ € cursor key decreases it. Pressing down
either of these cursor kevs adjusts the setting ON
comtinugusly unl the key is released.
2. Press the SET button.
The minute digits on the display blink.

3. Set the minute by pressing the << < or > »» cursor key.

to continuously adjust the minute setting in 10 minute a
Increments until the key is released.
4, Press the SET button.
The On Time is set and the display changes lo the Off Time seuing.
Set the Off Time.
Pressing the > tl cursor key increases the minute, and pressing the Md € cursor kev decreases
se the cursor keys and the SET button to set the Ott Time in the same way as for set the On ime.
Alter the Of Time minute setting has been set, the display changes to source selection display.

Select the source you want to listen to.
To use the Tuner as the source.
1. Press the left or right cursor key {-4< < or > >}
until “TUNER” blinks on the display.
2. Press the SET button.
3. Press the left or right cursor key
(4 << or > pr} to select the preset f fad
channel you want to listen to. !
You can only select a station ta reecive from
amongst the preset channels,
4. Press the SET button.
Proceed to step “@&
To use a CD as the source
1. Press the left or right cursor key (<4 < or > >»)
until “CD” blinks on the display.
2. Press the SET button.
“DISC -" blinks on the display.
3. Press the left or right cursor key [<4 < or > >i)
to select the disc you want to play.
* ff you select "DISC -", the fast CD that was played is selected.
4. Press the SET button.
“TRACK - -" blinks on the display,
5S. Press the left or right cursor key (4-4 <¢ or > >»)
to select the track you want to play.
You can onty select up to 20 tracks.
* Tf vou select “FRACK - -". play hack starts for
the first track of the CD.
