Presetting Stations
You can store up to 40 of your favorite radio stations (FM and AM (MW/LW)) in memory, giving you
quick, easy access to the stations.
Notes In'some cases,.test frequencies have been already memorized for the tuner since the factory
examined the t et function before shipment. This is not a malfunction. You can preset the stations
you Want into memory by following the ptesetting method.
Select a frequency band by pressing the FM/AM button.

On the display, “MEMORY” will blink for 5 seconds. PIC PPLE |
uring these 5 seconds whilé “MEMORY?” is blinking, you an assign
a channel number to the station and enter it into the memory.

Press the right or left cursor key (<< < or > pi} to select a preset
channel: number.
MEMORY" appears on the display and that station is stored in the selected preset number.
* Ifa station. has. been previously stored using the same channel number, this will be erased and the
newly selected.station will be stored.
* If“MEMORY” in the display goes off, start again from step 3.
Repeat steps 1 to 5 for each station you want to store in memory
with a preset number.
CAUTION: If the Unit is unplugged or if a power failure occurs, the preset
stations will be erased after a few days. If this happens, preset the
station again.

HE Not.all FM stations provide RDS service, nor do all RDS stations provide the same services. If in
doubt, check with local radio stations for details on RDS services in your area.
Note: RDS. may nat work correctly.if the:station to. which you are tuned is not transmitting properly or if
the signal strength is weak.

Changing the Display
You can see RDS. information.on the display.
To.vie¢w, RDS information on the display, press the DISPLAY MODE button. (When using the Remote
Control, press the RDS DISPLAY MODE button after pressing the RDS CONTROL button.)
Each time. you press the button, the display changes to show the following information:
PS (Programme Service):
Station names will be displayed.

PTY (Programme Type):
_ Types.of broadcast programmes will be displayed.

Searching for Programmes by PTY codes
One of the advantages of the RDS service is that Fyou can locate a paurules kind of programme by

PTY
codes,
follow
this
procedure:

Press the PTY SEARCH button.
“PTY” and. “SELECT” appear alternately on the display.
Note: If no adjustments are made for 3. cod in PTY Search mode, the display reverts to the
previous display. Perform the next step while “PTY” and “SELECT” are being displayed.
