Voltage
Control
by
External
Voltage
The
output
voltage
of the PS
Series
may be
controlled
from
outside
by
applying
voltage
(between
0 and
approx.
10
V).
The description
below
assumes
that only
the
voltage
is
control led
by
applying external voltage
and
others
are
controlled
on the
front
panel.
Set switches
1 and 5
Use
a
shielded cable
or a
pair
of
twisted
wires.
DDeactivate
the POWER
switch
CD on the
front
panel
(switch
released).
Set
control switches
1 and 5 of Si ® on the
rear
panel
ON. Set
all
other
control switches
OFF.
2) Adjust
the
voltage
to be
applied
to 0 V. Use pin No. 2 of the
control
terminal block Ji
@ on the
rear
panel
for GND.
Apply
the
external
voltage
to
pin
No. 1.
3)
Activate
the POWER
switch
®
(switch
depressed).
The PS
Series
is
ready
f
r
operation
after
approx.
four
seconds.
4) Press the
LIM key © ;
set voltage is displayed
on
the voltmeter
®.
Vary
the
external voltage
to
adjust
the
voltage
of the PS
Series
to an
intended
value.
NOTE:
The
negative side
of the
external voltage
is
connected
to the +S
ter-
minal
(GND
for
analog
control)
of the PS
Series.
Use external voltage
in a
floating
condition
to
prevent
accidents
or
malfunctioning.
