6-19 Monitoring Alarm Condition
The PS Series outputs an active low alarm signal when an alarm occurs inside
or the POWER switch (D on the front panel is deactivated (switch released).
Vcc: External power supply
Rc : Pull-up resistor
Ic : Collector current
OAlarm status monitor signal
* Vcc and Rc shal1 meet the output
rating of the photo-coupler PC817
(made by SHARP).
Example of Alarm Monitor Signal Circuit
DDeactivate the POWER switch ® on the front panel (switch released).
2) Connect the alarm monitor signal circuit to pins 11 and 12 of the control
terminal block Ji @ on the rear panel or pins 8 and 7 of the control
terminal block J

connected to the collector of the photo-coupler. Pin 12 of Ji and pin 7

are connected to the emitter of the photo-coupler.
3) If some error occur in the PS Series while it is running or the POWER switch
® on the front panel is deactivated (switch released), an alarm monitor
signal below 0. 2 V is output, provided the circuit as shown above is used,

NOTE: Pins 11 and 12 of the control terminal block Ji and pins 8 and 7 of
the control terminal block h on the rear panel may be floated from
other terminals. Voltage below ±250 VDC shall be applied to them.
