Section 2 Voice Control A ctivation
2.1 Voice Control Options
Using the OnCue Plus Action on Google or the OnCue
Plus skill on Amazon Alexa, you can control your
generator(s) using just your voice. Get helpful
information like generator status or active alerts or
simply ask it to start or stop an exercise.
2.2 Generator Connection
The generator must be connected to the Internet and
OnCue Plus.
D Use a network cable to connect the generator
controller to the owner’s router. See the generator set
installation manual for instructions to connect the
generator set to the owner’s router .
or
D Use the OnCue Plus Wireless kit to connect the
generator set to the router. See the installation
instructions provided with the wireless kit.
Set up an OnCue plus account. See the OnCue Plus
Technical Manual TP- 7007, provided with the generator
set or OnCue Plus kit. Contact your local distributor or
dealer for assistance, if necessary.
2.3 Getting Started
If you are using any Alexa or Google smart device at
your home, you probably already have an account with
them. Follow the steps below to link your OnCue Plus
account.
If you have not used Alexa or Google assistant before,
Download Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant from the
Apple App or Google Play store.
