– Position the brake line, wiring harness, and clamp. Mount and
tighten screws

Finishing work
– Install the front wheel. ( p. 114)
– Install the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 126)
– Check the headlight setting. ( p. 127)
12.9 Removing the lower triple clamp (EXC‑F EU, XCF‑W)
Preparatory work
– Remove the headlight mask with the headlight. ( p. 125)
– Raise the motorcycle with the lift stand. ( p. 63)
– Remove the front wheel. ( p. 113)
– Remove the fork legs. ( p. 65)
– Remove front fender. ( p. 75)
– Remove the handlebar cushion.

Main work
–
Open the cable holder in front of the left radiator and detach
the wiring harness.

Loosen screw

Remove screw

– Take off the upper triple clamp with the handlebar and hang
them to the side.
Info
Cover the components to protect them against damage.
Do not kink the cables and lines.

– Take off the lower triple clamp with the steering stem.
– Remove the upper steering head bearing.
