– Make sure that the pre-delivery inspection work has been carried out by an authorized KTM workshop.
You receive a delivery certificate and the service record at vehicle handover.
– Before your first trip, read the entire operating instructions carefully.
– Get to know the controls.
– Adjust the basic position of the clutch lever. ( p. 97)
– Adjust the basic position of hand brake lever. ( p. 100)
– Adjust the basic position of foot brake lever. ( p. 105)
– Get used to handling the vehicle on empty suitable terrain before making a longer trip. Try also to ride as slowly as possible to get a
better feeling for the motorcycle.
– Hold the handlebar firmly with both hands and keep your feet on the footrests when riding.
– Run the engine in. ( p. 54)
6.2Running in the engine
– Do not exceed the specified engine speed and load during the running-in period.

During the first: 1,000 km (621.4 mi) 6,500 rpm
After the first: 1,000 km (621.4 mi) 9,500 rpm
– Avoid full-throttle operation!
6.3Loading the vehicle

full tank, driver and passenger with protective clothing and helmet, baggage.
