Thissectionprovidesinstructionsonhowtoremovethecomputercover.
CAUTION:
Beforeyouopenthecomputercover,turnoffthecomputerandwaitseveralminutesuntilthe
computeriscool.
Toremovethecomputercover,dothefollowing:
1.Removeanymediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandthecomputer.
2.Disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutlets.
3.Disconnectthepowercord,Input/Outputcables,andanyothercablesthatareconnectedtothe
computer.
4.Removeanylockingdevicethatsecuresthecomputercover,suchasapadlockoraKensington-style
cablelock.See“Lockingthecomputercover”onpage35
,“AttachingaKensington-stylecablelock”on
page37,and“Attachingacablelock”onpage38.
5.Removethescrewsthatsecurethecomputercover.Then,pressthecover-releasebuttononthesideof
thecomputerandslidethecomputercovertotherearofthecomputertoremoveit.
