Lowering the top heat/grill
element
If the oven interior roof is badly soiled,
the top heat/grill element can be
lowered to make cleaning easier. The
oven ceiling should be cleaned regularly
with a damp cloth or sponge.
Danger of burning!
Make sure the oven heating
elements are switched off and that
the oven cavity is cool.
To lower the top heat/grill element,
the nut needs to be unscrewed.
The top heat/grill element can get
damaged.
Do not use force to lower the top
heat/grill element.
Carefully lower the top heat/grill
element.
The mica sheet can be damaged on
the top of the oven cavity.
Do not use the rough side of a
sponge to clean the top of the oven
cavity.
Clean the roof of the oven with a
damp cloth or a soft dishwashing
sponge.
After cleaning, raise the top heat/grill
element gently back up again. Refit
the nut and tighten to secure the
element back in position.
