Installation surface
A concrete floor is the most suitable
installation surface for this machine,
being far less prone to vibration during
the spin cycle than wooden floorboards
or a carpeted surface.
Please note:
The washer-dryer must be level and
securely positioned.
To avoid vibrations during spinning
the washer-dryer must not be
installed on soft floor coverings.
If installing on a wooden joist floor:
We recommend installing the
machine on a plywood base at least
59 x52x 3 cm). The base should span
several joists and be bolted to the
joist and not only the floorboards.
Check for the presence of pipes and
cables first.
Tip: If possible, install the machine in a
corner, as this is usually the most stable
part of the floor.
If the washer-dryer is installed on
an existing on-site plinth (concrete or
brick), there is a danger of the
machine falling off the plinth during
the spin cycle.
The washer-dryer must be secured
with an MTS floor mounting kit
(available from Miele).
Installing the washer-dryer
Hold the washer-dryer by the front feet
and by the edge of the lid where it
protrudes to the rear of the machine.
Danger of slippage during
spinning.
The machine feet and installation
surface must be dry.
Remove the transit bars
Remove the left and right covers.
1. Pull on the attached stopper and
2. then use a screwdriver to release the
catches at the top and bottom.
