8.6 User Authentication Function
This function limits the users (persons and personal computers) that can access the CPU module or safety remote I/O
module. Using this function permits only the specified users to access the CPU module or safety remote I/O module.
This function is implemented in the CPU module used. For details on the user authentication function, refer to the following.

Online operations that require user authentication
The following table lists the online operations that require user authentication. No limitation is applied to the access levels of
the user authentication function. With any access level of "Administrators", "Developers", "Assistant Developers", and
"Users", the operations can be performed after the user authentication.
*1 To access the remote buffer memory using a program and perform the operations, the user authentication is not necessary.
