7-9-2.3 Connection of the knife bracket and the driving crank
1) Connect the knife bracket (No.1) and the driving crank
(No.2) with the link (No.3).
2) Loosen the driving crank set screw (No.4) and adjust the
attaching position of the driving crank (No.2) in the right
and left direction so that the link (No.3) can contact with
the same flat surface of the knife bracket (No.1) and the
driving crank (No.2) without any distortion. After the
adjustment, tighten the driving crank set screw (No.4)
securely.

7-9-2.4 Adjustment of the component parts of the knife driving mechanism
1) Attach the component parts of the knife driving mechanism and adjust the locations as shown on
the figure.
2) When assembling the parts always, firstly insert the knife driving shaft (No.6) into the driving
crank (No.1).
3) Fix the cam follower crank 1 (No.3) on the knife driving shaft (No.6) at the right end position
77mm away from the front surface of the sewing machine bed as shown on the figure.
4) Fix the stopper (No.5) on the knife driving shaft (No.6) by tightening the set screw (No.7) at the flat
cut of the shaft.
At the time, make sure there is no play on the knife driving shaft (No.6) in the axial direction and it
can be rotated smoothly.
