POLYPHONY MORE PAGE
Pressing the triangular MORE button in the upper right corner of the POLYPHONY module will reveal
a second level of parameters than can be accessed and modied using the interactive portion of the
Center Console. The left pane shows the width of the Detune Amount, as determined by the DETUNE
knob on the Front Panel. The right pane shows the current values of the Front Panel parameters
for this module. Tweaking these panel controls will update their values here. The additional MORE
parameters are displayed in the bottom portion of the screen.
NOTE: Pressing the (now) illuminated MORE button will exit the MORE page and recall the HOME screen.
These onscreen parameters are accessed
using the Master Encoder and the four
Soft Knobs below the screen.
CHANGING THE VALUE
Simply rotate the Soft Knob below the
parameter name to change its value. In
some cases, the Soft Knob simply turns a
function on or off. In other cases, it may
choose from a list of values or settings,
and in other cases, the Soft Knob is
dialing in a value – either absolute or a
percentage
SELECTING A ROW
Rotate the Master Encoder to the right to highlight the next row of parameters. Rotating the Master
Encoder to the left will select a previous row. Again, rotate the Soft Knob below the parameter to
change its value.
UNISON COUNT (MINIMUM = 2; MAXIMUM = POLY COUNT VALUE)
The number of voices allocated here will determine the depth and fatness of the Unison effect. The
minimum number of voices is = 2, the maximum limit is the number of voices set by the POLY COUNT
parameter (see below). When the MONO mode is selected on the Front Panel, all of the voices
specied here will be stacked in Unison on that one note. However, when the MONO mode is set to Off,
Moog One will continue to allocate Unison voice-stacking in the PO LY mode. On a 16-voice Moog One,
you could set the UNISON COUNT to 4, and up to four notes could be played with a four-voice Unison
stack. Conversely, if both the UNISON COUNT and the POLY COUNT are set to 16, then the rst note
played would be allocated the full 16 voices; when a second note is added, 8 voices would be allocated
to each, etc.
POLY COUNT (MINIMUM = 2; MAXIMUM = AVAILABLE HARDWARE VOICES)
Here you can specify the maximum number of voices allocated to the active Synth while in the
PO LY mode (MONO button is Off). When performing using a Preset that may play multiple Synths
simultaneously (layers, splits, etc.), limiting the POLY COUNT can improve how voices are effectively
shared and allocated among the Synths.
