Four Slot Ethernet Cradle
This section describes how to set up and use a Four Slot Ethernet cradle with the mobile computer. For Ethernet
communication setup procedures refer to the MC1000 with Windows CE 5.0 Integrator Guide.

Four Slot Ethernet Cradle
The Four Slot Ethernet cradle:
Provides 5.4 VDC power for operating the mobile computer.
Connects the mobile computer (up to four) to an Ethernet network.
Simultaneously charges up to four mobile computers (with batteries installed).
You cannot ActiveSync using the Four Slot Ethernet cradle. To ActiveSync with a host computer, use the SIngle
Slot Serial/USB cradle.
Prior to placing the MC1000 into the Ethernet cradle, set the MC1000 to USB Host mode.
1. Press F - CTRL - F - ESC to launch the Start menu.
2. Use the scroll keys to select Settings - Control Panel.
3. Press ENT.
4. Use the scroll keys to select the USBConfig icon.
5. Press ENT. The USBConfig Settings window appears.
CAUTION Use only a Symbol approved power supply output rated 12 VDC and minimum 9 A. Use of an alternative
power supply will void the product warranty and may cause product damage. See the MC1000 User Guide
for the power supply regulatory compliance statement.
