Chapter 2 Installation and BIOS Setup
Memory Corrected Error Enabling
Select Enable for the BIOS to correct a memory error if it is correctable. The options are Enable
and Disable.
Note Available when the item above Runtime Error Logging Support is set to
Enable.
PCI-Ex (PCI-Express) Error Enable
Select Yes for the BIOS to correct errors occurred in the PCI-E slots. The options are Yes and No.
Memory Correctable Error Threshold
Use this item to enter the threshold value for correctable memory errors. The default setting is 10.
Erasing Settings
Erase Event Log
Select Enabled to erase all error events in the SMBIOS (System Management BIOS) log before
an event logging is initialized at bootup. The options are No and Yes.
When Log is Full
Select Erase Immediately to immediately erase all errors in the SMBIOS event log when the
event log is full. Select Do Nothing for the system to do nothing when the SMBIOS event log
is full. The options are Do Nothing and Erase Immediately.
SMBIOS Event Log Standard Settings
Log System Boot Event
Select Enabled to log system boot events. The options are Disabled and Enabled.
MECI (Multiple Event Count Increment)
Enter the increment value for the multiple event counter. Enter a number between 1 to 255.
The default setting is 1.
METW (Multiple Event Count Time Window)
This item is used to determine how long (in minutes) should the multiple event counter wait
before generating a new event log. Enter a number between 0 to 99. The default setting is 60.
Note Please reboot the system for the changes to take effect.
View System Event Log
This item allows the user to view the event in the system event log. Select this item and press
<Enter> to view the status of an event in the log.
