Using the Manager Interface for System
Maintenance
The Model RT311 or RT314 Internet Access Gateway Router provides tools for maintenance and
diagnostics. These tools include displays of system status and connections, log and trace
capabilities, and upgrades to the system software. This chapter describes the use of these tools.
System Status
The System Maintenance Status Menu (Menu 24.1) allows the user to monitor the operation of the
router. This screen displays the current status of the two Ethernet ports and the number of packets
sent and received. The system software version is also displayed.
To access the System Maintenance Status Menu:

Enter 24 from the Main Menu to display the System Maintenance menu (Figure 9-1).
