R EPLACING CONSUMABLE ITEMS
This section explains how to replace consumable items when due. As a guide, the life
expectancy of these items is:
T ONER :
S TARTER C ARTRIDGES :
The machine is shipped with sufficient Black, Cyan, Magenta & Yellow toner for 1,000
A4 pages, of which 500 A4 pages of toner are used to initially charge the image drum
(500 A4 pages remaining at 5% coverage).
R EPLACEMENT C ARTRIDGES :
Replacement cartridges are available in Standard capacity (1,500 A4 pages @ 5%
coverage) and High capacity (2,500 A4 pages @5% coverage).
I MAGE DRUM :
Approximately 15,000 pages (calculated on typical office usage where 20% of printing is 1
page only, 30% is 3 page documents and 50% is print runs of 15 pages or more).
T RANSFER BELT :
Approximately 50,000 A4 pages (calculated on typical office usage where 20% of printing
is 1 page only, 30% is 3 page documents and 50% is print runs of 15 pages or more).
F USER :
Approximately 50,000 A4 pages.
NOTE
Toner life is directly affected by coverage, e.g. at 10% coverage there is sufficient
toner for 750 A4 pages (standard capacity) or 1,250 A4 pages (high capacity).
