Note
When unpacking the PT and peripheral devices, check for any external damage. Shake the
product gently and check for any abnormal sounds.
3-1 Installing the PT
The methods used to mount the PT to the control panel and connect the power supply are
described here.
3-1-1 Installation Environment
Always mount the PT to the control panel and perform other installation procedures according
to the following precautions.
Note Do not install the PT in any of the following locations:
• Locations subject to extreme temperature changes.
• Locations subject to temperatures or humidity outside the ranges in the specifications.
• Locations subject to high humidity that may result in condensation.
• Locations that would subject the PT to chemicals.
• Locations that would subject the PT to oil.
• Locations subject to corrosive or flammable gases.
• Locations that would subject the PT to direct shock or vibration.
• Locations that would directly expose the PT to wind or rain.
• Locations subject to strong ultraviolet light.
Provide proper shielding measures when installing in the following locations:
• Locations subject to static electricity or other sources of noise.
• Locations subject to strong electromagnetic fields.
• Locations near to power supply lines.
• Locations subject to possible exposure to radiation.
