8. Tighten bleed screw securely and remove hose.
Torque bleed screw to 47 in-lbs (5.3 Nm). Install
protective cap.
9. Repeat Steps 4 - 8 for remaining master cylinder bleed
screw, then proceed to caliper bleeding procedure.
Caliper Bleeding
10. The bleeding process is the same for the calipers as
for the master cylinder. Use the bleed screw on each
caliper. Perform Steps 4-8 for each front caliper.
11. Perform Steps 4-8 for the rear caliper.
12. Add brake fluid to MAX level inside reservoir.
13. Install master cylinder reservoir cover securely.
14. Field test the vehicle at low speed before putting into
service. Check for proper braking action and inspect
pedal travel.
15. Perform brake pedal inspection. See “Brake Pedal
Inspection / Adjustment” on page 6.9.
16. Check brake system for fluid leaks.
CAUTION
Maintain at least 1/2"(1.27 cm) of brake fluid in
the reservoir at all times to prevent air from
entering the master cylinder.
