Whenusingthistypeof“ProviderTagging ”youshouldkeepthefollowinginmind:
• UnderProviderTagging,thesystemdouble‐tagsegressframestowardstheProvider’s
network.ThesystemaddsatagwithaVLA’ppNIDandEtherType=0x9100toall
frames,asconfiguredbytheserviceprovider(ProviderVLANID).
• Thesystemalwaysaddstoeachframe,tagswithVLANIDandEt
herType=0x9100.
Therefore,
• Foraframewithoutatag–thesystemwilladdatagwithVLANIDandEtherType=
0x9100sotheframewillhaveonetag
• ForaframewithaVLANtag–thesystemwilladdatagwithVLANIDand
EtherT ype=0x
9100sotheframewillbedouble‐tagged
