Readhead mounting surface
Shims of a known thickness are inserted between the mounting face of the readhead and the
bracket to give the correct rideheight.
• Applications where the rideheight of the readhead cannot be adjusted. The system should be
designed to achieve a nominal distance of 2.3mm (±0.2mm) from the readhead mounting
surface to the top of the scale.
