Folding Finisher Cautions
This section explains about the fold precautions.
❖ Folding type and orientation
❖ When the folding is cancelled
• When the output is from the bypass tray
• When the folding type and orientation is not properly set.
• When a paper type that cannot be folded is selected.
• When the Folding Finisher Tray is not selected for the paper output tray.
• When [Normal Print] is not selected for the printing method.
• When less than 320 mm is specified for the length of the fan fold paper.
Note
❒ If the optional folding finisher is connected but the fold settings are incorrect,
you might not be able to make settings for the optional device using the print-
er driver.
❒ Printing starts only after jobs from other functions (such as the copier) that are
using the folding finisher have finished.
❒ Depending on the application you are using, printer settings might not be ap-
plied and printing might not be as required.
Fold Type Paper Size
Fan Fold A0K, B1K, A1KL, B2KL, A2KL, B3KL, A3K, B4K
Custom Size: approximately 210 - 914.4 mm (8.27 - 36 inches)
in width, and 279.4 - 15,000 mm (11 - 590.55 inches) in length.
Not Fold A0K, B1K, A1KL, B2KL, A2KL, B3KL, A3KL,
B4KL, A4K
