This section describes service information required for regular mainte-
nance and adjustment and also the ways
to
carry
out
these jobs.
NOTE:

When carrying
out
the
maintenance services or adjustments, place the
tractor on
as
open and
level
ground
as
possible. Before removing caps,
plugs, and covers, wipe clean the surrounding surfaces
so
as
not
to
allow
dust
or
dirt
to
enter the inside of the engine and the tractor.
Frozen cooling water may damage the cylinder block. To avoid such a
trouble, mix antifreeze into cooling water, or thoroughly drain cooling
water from the cylinder block
in
case the tractor
is
stored or
not
used for
a long time
in
cold weather.
When adding antifreeze solution, the following rules should be observed,
otherwise,
the
cylinder block will rust.
1.
This tractor's engine
is
of
a diesel
type
and its cylinder block
is
made
of
cast iron. Therefore,
su
itable antifreeze solution for such a cast
engine block must be used.
2. Before adding mixture of antifreeze and water, completely drain
cooling water and clean the radiator with detergent.
