5.6Replacing the Battery
Be sure to read 5.1 Precautions for Maintenance and Inspection”.
In order to protect the filter, the FPD-2010 is so constructed that it is cooled by the fan provided with the filter.
And backup battery is provided so that the fan keeps rotating until the filter is sufficiently cooled even when
the power of the GC-2010 main unit is turned OFF at the state where the detector temperature is still high.
This battery can rotate the fan only for several hours, so it is necessary to change the battery when they are
degraded.
When degrading/failure of the battery occurs, the GC-2010 main unit recognizes battery error and
temperature adjustment mechanism of the FPD unit stops.
Replace the battery with the following procedure.

 CAUTION
Be sure to turn OFF the power of the Gas Chromatograph main unit before
performing works.
