ENGINE REMOVAL AND
REINSTALLATION
ENGINE REMOVAL
Before taking the engine out of the frame, thoroughly clean
the engine with a suitable cleaner. The procedure of engine
removal is
sequentially explained in the following steps:
• Remove the oil drain plug CD to drain out engine oil.
•
Remove the frame covers. (Refer to page 5-1.)
• Remove the seat. (Refer to page 5-1.)
• Remove the battery holder plate @.
• Disconnect the battery 8 lead wire @ from the battery
terminal.
• Remove the fuel tank. (Refer to page 4-3.)
• Remove the oil cooler hose mounting bolts.
• Remove the oil cooler holder with cooler by removing the
mounting bolts.
