FUEL
AND
LUBRICATION
SYSTEM
INSPECTION
AND
CLEANING
If
the
fuel
filter
is
dirty
with
sediment
or
rust,
fuel
will
not
flow
smoothly
and
loss
in
engine
power
may
result.
Clean
the
fuel
filter
with
compressed
air.
FUEL
TANK
FUEL
TANK
REMOVAL
•
Remove
the
frame
cover
and
seat.
(Refer
to
pages
5-1
and
2.)
•
Turn
the
fuel
valve
to
"ON"
position.
•
Remove
the
fuel
tank
mounting
bolts
CD.
•
Slide
the
fuel
tank
backward
and
lift
up
it
after
discon-
necting
the
fuel
hose
@
and
vacuum
hose
@.
•
Remove
the
fuel
tank.
A
WARNING
Gasoline
is
very
explosive.
Extreme
care
must
be
taken.
