4.7 Updating the software
The Regesta Smart PRO router is equipped with the capability to update to new releases. For detailed information on
the latest updates, we recommend contacting your distributor.
To update one of our routers, there are multiple methods available. For comprehensive instructions, please refer to
the “Teldat Dm 748-I Software Updating manual.
When it comes to updating one of our routers, the required software is provided in a distribution format. This includes
a single file that contains all the necessary files for updating your device, along with detailed information on their con-
tent.
The Regesta Smart PRO router incorporates independent modules for the Wireless WAN interface. You have the
flexibility to choose modules from different manufacturers or opt for multiple modules from the same provider, de-
pending on the technology being used. In most cases, the firmware is separate from the software. To ensure the cor-
rect upgrade, please consult your distributor for the appropriate UPGRADE file specific to your Wireless WAN mod-
ule as outlined in the “Teldat Dm781-I Cellular Interface manual, which provides step-by-step guidance on module
upgrades.

a PC with terminal emulation software.
Speed: 115200 bps.
Eight data bits.
One stop bit.
No parity bit.
No type of flow control.
To establish a connection with the configuration port, use the RJ45 cable (included with the router) along with the fe-
