– Let excess oil flow out until it is only dripping out of the hole.
– If no oil has flown out, lower the vehicle again and continue
with filling.
– Screw in oil filler plug.
Specified torque: 15 Nm
Checking adherence to prescribed temperature range during oil
level check:
– To do this, connect vehicle diagnostic tester ⇒ page 13 .
– Select one after the other:
♦ Guided fault finding
♦ Running gear
♦ 22 - Four-wheel drive with Haldex coupling (Rep.-Gr. 01 ;39)
♦ 01 - On board diagnostic capable system
♦ 22 - Transfer box control unit - J646
♦ 22 - Functions
♦ Read measured values
If the oil temperature is not between 20... 40 °C, adherence to
prescribed temperature range must be ensured by running gear‐
box warm or cooling it off.
– Remove oil filler plug again -arrow-.
The oil level is correct if oil is dripping out of the oil filler hole.
– Screw in a new oil filler plug with captive seal.
Specified torque: 15 Nm
