In some markets, the adjustment bolt for lateral adjustment is
-1- encapsulated. Lateral adjustment is not permissible here.
– Turn lateral adjustment screw -1- until setting is correct.
– Press “GoTo” “End” buttons to exit the “Guided functions”.

Adjustment of the right headlight is carried out in the same
sequence.

4.35.1 Checking and adjusting prerequisites:
♦ Tyre pressure OK
♦ Headlight lenses must not be damaged or dirty.
♦ Reflectors and bulbs OK
♦ Vehicle must be loaded.
♦ The vehicle must be rolled forward or backward several me‐
tres or front and rear springs must be bounced fully several
times so that springs settle.
♦ The vehicle and the headlight adjuster must be on a level sur‐
face → Operating instructions for headlight adjusters VAS
5046, VAS 5047, VAS 5208A, VAS 5,209B.
♦ Vehicle and headlight adjuster must be aligned.
♦ Inclination must be set.
♦ Event memory must be cleared.
