METERING DEVICE (MD230)
The metering device feeds elastic or lace
(width up to 40mm) accurately.
The feeding range is 0.9 — 3.5mm per stitch.
Setting lace guide
Refer to Fig. 67 Remove Screw O and fit
Lace Guide 0(0-0 in sequence).
Lubrication
The clutches and bearings of the metering
device come pre-filled with grease. Always
keep them full with grease.
Lubrication to clutch
Align the mark (A) on Crank 0 and the mark
(A) on Sleeve 0 with the mark (A) on Plate 0.
Remove Cap Screw 0 and insert the grease.
Remove Screw 0 and check whether the clutch
is full with grease or not.
Lubrication to bearings
To lubricate the bearings, remove Cap Screw 0
and insert grease.
The amount of grease can be checked through
the hole B.
Setting iace guide (lower)
Set Lace Guide (Lower) 0 as close as possible
to the needle but not touching the spreader.
To adjust, loosen Screw 0 and turn Stopper 0.
