Network Protocols
Disabling and Enabling Protocols Using the Front
Panel
1. With Menus highlighted, press the OK key.
2. Scroll to Network Setup Menu by pressing the Arrow Up or Arrow Down key.
3. Press the OK key.
4. Scroll to TCP/IP Address Menu by pressing the Arrow Up or Arrow Down key.
5. Press the OK key.
6. Scroll to DHCP/BOOTP, TCP/IP, EtherTalk, NetWare, or IPP by pressing the
Arrow Up or Arrow Down key.
7. Press the OK key.
8. Scroll to display either On or Off by pressing the Arrow Up or Arrow Down key.
9. Press the OK key.
10. To exit the menu system, scroll to Exit and press the OK key.
Disabling Protocols Using CentreWare IS
1. Connect to the printer via CentreWare IS (see page 24).
2. On the main CentreWare IS page, click Properties.
3. On the left side of the page, in the Protocols group, select the protocol to be disabled.
This displays the page for that protocol.
4. On the page are fields labeled with the settings for the protocol. To disable a setting or
protocol, select Off
5. Click Save Changes at the bottom of the page.
