A-1. Brake resistor
VB5N and VB5N-S inverters have built-in brake unit. Please select brake unit as table 1-1. Please refer
to Fig. 1-1 for wiring.

A-2. Operate panel and extension cable
VB5N operate panel model is D-Panel. The serial port cable between operate panel and CPU circuit
board is D-CN-X, X is the length of cable which including 1m, 2m, 3m, 5m. So D-CN-2 is 2 meter ca-
ble. VB5N operate panel needs panel base to extend. The extended operate panel will be mounted on
the panel base. The mounting dimension of panel base is shown in fig 1-3.
