Gasoline (petrol) is highly flammable, and
its vapors are flammable and explosive.
8 If you have any question about properly
doing the procedure, consult your
Yamaha dealer.
8 Do not perform the procedure on a hot
or running engine. Allow the engine to
cool.
8 There will be fuel in the fuel filter.
Keep away from sparks, cigarettes,
flames or other sources of ignition.
8 The procedure will allow some fuel to
spill.
Catch fuel in a rag. Wipe up any spilled
fuel immediately.
8 Improper replacement can result in a
fuel leak, which could result in a fire or
explosion hazard.
Check the fuel filter periodically.
The fuel filter is a one-piece, disposable
type. If foreign matter is found in the fil-
ter, replace it. For replacement of the fuel
filter, consult a Yamaha dealer.
