When storing documents or other
items in the storage compartment, se-
cure the plastic bag as shown in the il-
lustration.

167 kg (368 lb) for the vehicle.

Handlebar position
The handlebar can be adjusted to one
of two positions to suit the rider’s pref-
erence. Have a Yamaha dealer adjust
the position of the handlebar.

Adjusting the front fork
WARNING

Always adjust both fork legs equally,
otherwise poor handling and loss of
stability may result.
The front fork has adjusters for spring
preload, rebound damping, and both
fast/slow compression damping.
NOTICE
ECA10102
To avoid damaging the mechanism,
do not attempt to turn beyond the
maximum or minimum settings.
Spring preload
Turn the adjuster in direction (a) to in-
crease the spring preload.
Turn the adjuster in direction (b) to de-
crease the spring preload.
