A. CONNECTING THE CABLES TO THE
REMOTE CONTROL BOXES
NOTE:
Additional rigging information on the 704 con-
trol boxes is contained in the 704 Remote
Control Box Operation Manual.
1) Install the upper and lower 704 shift
and throttle cable ends 13mm on to the
cables. Tighten jam nuts, then install
the cable ends on the 704 control
boxes.
B. CONNECTING THE CABLES TO THE
DUAL STATION JUNCTION UNIT
1. Removing the cover
1) Remove the cover and the three rubber
plugs.
2. Connecting the control box throttle cables
to the junction unit
1) Install the dual station brass barrel
cables ends on the throttle cables from
the 704 control boxes.When setting the
135mm length specified, pull slightly on
the cable to eliminate any backlash.
This will ensure that the throttle returns
correctly to idle.
2) Remove the throttle side cover and
clamp cover as shown:
NOTE:
Fold the two tabs on the cover inward and lift
the cover open. This is the easiest way to open
the cover.
