proceduresusingaHARTcongurationTool(such
as FieldMate).

8.1 HART Protocol Revision
For the models with the output signal code “-J”,
HART protocol revision 5 or 7 is selectable. The
protocolrevisionissetasspeciedintheorder.
Howtoconrmprotocolrevisionisshownbelow.
Therearetwowaystoconrmtheprotocolrevision
set to the transmitter.
(1)Conrmationbythenameplate
The HART protocol revision at the time of
shipment is shown by the last number at the
serial number column of the name plate.

revision change of HART 5 and HART 7.

Description)oftheAXRisinstalledinthe
CongurationTool.

canconrminaccordancewiththefollowingsteps.
If the correct DD is not installed in the HART
CongurationTool,downloadthemfromtheHART
ofcialsite,otherwise,contacttherespective
vendorsoftheCongurationToolforitsupgrade
information.
1. ConrmationofthedevicerevisionforAXR
(1) ConnecttheCongurationTooltotheAXR.
The device revision can be checked as

2. Conrmationofthedevicerevisionforthe
HARTCongurationTool
