A.4 Device Redundancy
The following fault conditions cannot be detected in the Linking Device itself and need
to be covered at application level:
a loss of an H1 connection between the primary device and a subset of devices on
an H1 link
a loss of an H1 connection between the secondary device and the entire H1 link or
a subset of devices on an H1 link
Make sure not to permute the H1 terminal blocks. An accidental permutation of the
H1 link connections at the secondary Linking Device will not be detected right away.
On application level, detection will not be possible before a redundancy switch-over
takes place or the live lists of primary and secondary Linking Device are being
compared manually.
