Caution: Do not interrupt the self-test by pressing keys or inserting a car-
tridge or adapter. Interruption of the self-test may lead to malfunctions of
your insulin pump.
Caution: If your insulin pump does not beep and vibrate as described, or
if individual segments are shown incompletely or not at all, your insulin
pump needs to be returned since you may not be notified of any changes
of your insulin pump in a timely manner. Please contact your Accu-Chek
customer service center for insulin pumps.
4.3 Insert the cartridge
Caution: Always return the piston rod before inserting a cartridge and
make sure that it has returned completely. To prevent any dirty particles
entering the cartridge compartment, insert the cartridge only in clean
environment and check always, that the cartridge compartment is free
of any dirty particles.
To insert the cartridge
1. Make sure your insulin pump is in STOP.
2. Hold your insulin pump upright or place it upright on
a horizontal, flat surface, for example a table.
3. Insert the cartridge into the cartridge compartment.
Make sure that the rubber membrane points upwards.
5. Press
f
for 3 seconds, until your insulin pump beeps a melody
and the piston rod starts to return.
Caution: Should the piston rod not return all the
way, please contact your Accu-Chek customer
service center for insulin pumps.
After the piston rod has returned completely, your insulin pump performs a self-test:
All segments are shown on the display. Your insulin pump
beeps a sequence of three and two short beeps and vibrates
once.
Caution: If during the “pump self test” your in-
sulin pump does not beep a sequence of three and
two short beeps and/or does not vibrate once,
please contact your Accu-Chek customer service
center for insulin pumps.
The numbers in the three number groups go from 0000 to
9999.
Check if the numbers appear completely.
Your insulin pump beeps a melody to inform you that the
start-up procedure has ended.
Your insulin pump returns to STOP and beeps a melody. If
your insulin pump is left in STOP, the STOP-Warning is given
every minute.
Caution: If you discover incomplete characters, numbers or symbols on
the display, your insulin pump needs to be returned since you may not be
notified of any changes of your insulin pump in a timely manner. Please
contact your Accu-Chek customer service center for insulin pumps.
