9.4 Additional function system pressure control
The maximum operating pressure can be monitored by means of a micro switch
(see 7.5.2 pressure limiting valve with micro switch) that is installed at the
pressurelimiting valve.
Ifthe linepressure exceeds 280bar, thepressure limiting valveis activated.
The micro switch sends a signal to the control unit. This one switches off the
pump and indicates a malfunction (see 12.3 signals of the integrated control unit
PICO-tronic).
Resetthe errorby pressing theintermediate lubrication button(see fig.29).
The connection at the control unit is done via the left Hirschman plug at the
controlunit housingof the pump(see fig. 29)
Ifthe additionalfunction „line rupturemonitoring“ is used, the followingfunctions are notavailable:
· Operating mode cyclecontrol pulse-dependent
· Monitoring the linesof thecentral lubrication system(line rupture).
9.5 Function level monitoring
The central lubrication pump PICO has an integrated level monitoring by default. This can be electronically evaluated by
meansof thePICO-tronic.
If the reservoir of the pump is empty, the follower piston activates a pin that presses onto abutton. Thisone sends a signal
tothe controlunit that switchesoffthe pump toavoid thatairis pumpedinto the system.

When the reservoir is filled again, the switch interrupts the signal and
theerror isreset.
