14. Replacing Hoses
Warning - Danger of frostbite
During repair work on the ACS 751/651
refrigerant in liquid or gaseous form can
escape and cause frostbite to the body.
¶ Close valves on refrigerant cylinder.
¶ Wear protective goggles.
¶ Wear protective gloves.
Danger - Electric shock hazard
Touching live parts of the power switch or
on the power board can result in serious
injury or death.
¶ Do not touch any live parts.
Caution!
The hot surface of the compressor and
manifold can cause severe burns to the
hands.
¶ Allow the compressor and manifold to
cool down before work.
¶ Wear protective gloves.
14.1 Replacing the PA11 hose between
the compressor and the manifold
1. Perform hose drain..
2. Switch off the ACS 751/651.
3. Disconnect the mains supply.
4. Open the right and the front panel.
5. Loosen the hose connector to the manifold and dis-
connect the defective hose.
6. Loosen the hose connector to the compressor and
disconnect the hose.
7. Connect the new hose between the compressor and
the manifold
8. Switch on the mains supply.
9. Turn on the master switch of the ACS 751/651.
10. In the debug mode, switch on the actuators PRIN,
CTRL and CX.
11. Close the front and front panels.
14.2 Replacing the PA11 hose for the HP/
LP gauge
1. Perform hose drain.
2. Switch off the ACS 751/651.
3. Disconnect the mains supply.
4. Open the front panel.
5. Open the top panel of the HMI.
6. Disconnect the PA11 hose at the manifold.
7. Disconnect the other end of the PA11 hose at the HP
/ LP gauge.
8. Connect the new PA11 hose at the HP / LP gauge.
9. Connect the other end of the PA11 hose to the mani-
fold.
10. Switch on the ACS 751/651 in the debug mode.
i For the HP gauge, switch on VISO and VC, monitor
the pressure for one minute. The pressure should
not rise beyond 250 mbar.
i For the LP gauge, switch on VISO, VC, HL and LP.
Monitor the pressure for three minutes. The pressure
should drop below 250 mbar.
11. Close the top panel of the HMI.
12. Close the front panel.
i If the pressure values do not reach the expected
values, check the PA11 hose connections again.
