10. Glossary
R Recovery phase
The refrigerant is extracted from the vehicle A/C
system, cleaned and filled to the internal refrigerant
cylinder on the ACS 651/751. The recovered
refrigerant oil is discharged into the used oil bottle
on the ACS 651/751.
R Vacuum phase
A vacuum is generated in the vehicle A/C system.
Once the vacuum is created, the pressure drop mea-
surement is started.
R Oil injection phase
Refrigerant oil is injected into the vehicle A/C system
refrigeration circuit.
R UV dye injection phase
A specified quantity of UV dye is added to the vehicle
A/C system.
R Filling phase
A specified quantity of refrigerant is filled into the
vehicle A/C system.
R Delta oil
The quantity of oil that needs to be topped up in the
vehicle A/C system. The delta oil quantity depends
on the quantity of oil recovered during the recovery
phase.
R Absolute oil
The quantity of refrigerant oil that needs to be
added to the vehicle A/C system after service. This
quantity is independent of the quantity recovered
during the recovery phase.
R SAE J2788 standard
The SAE J2788 standard specifies the minimum
performance requirements for recovery and recharge
of R134a in vehicle A/C system service using A/C
service equipment.
R Air purging
The process of removing the non-condensable gases
from the refrigerant tank of the ACS 651/751.
R Pset
The maximum pressure at which the compressor
switches off. For the ACS 651/751, the maximum
pressure value is 18 bar.
R Absolute oil
The quantity of absolute oil can be set either in the
automatic mode or in the manual mode.
The quantity of compressor oil to be charged into
the vehicle A/C system. The quantity of absolute oil
is specified in the service parameters.
The quantity of compressor oil that is recovered
from the vehicle A/C is not considered.
If compressor oil need not be fed into the vehicle
A/C system, the value of absolute oil in the service
parameters is "0 ml".
