6-9. Lower shaft mechanism
Apply grease <GREASE BZL-301> or <GREASE BZL-302> specified by Brother to the portions indicated by the white
arrows.

Adjust while referrjng to " 7-16. Adjusting
the
backlash
of
the lower shaft gear".
Place the driver against the retaining ring
and
provisionally tighten the bolt.

While turning the machine pulley, move the
rock gear to the
left
or
right to the position
where it turns
smoothly.
Place
set screw collar R against the edge
of
the bed
and
tighten the set screw.
