2.6 Speed Key Setting (Menu code 1160)
( MENU → 1. PLU → 6. Speed Key )
This menu is used to program Speed keys. Speed keys are short-cut keys used to allow
quick access to the most frequently used PLU's in a department. There is also a SHIFT
function that allows you to set a second level of Speed keys that will double the number
of Speed keys available in a department.
You can program up to 5 different Speed Key Sets but only one set can be used in a
department at a time. The Speed Key Set that is used in a department is determined by
Menu code 1211 (chapter 2.2.1.1)
Note: Function keys can be programmed using Menu code 1880 (chapter 2.14.8) and
are assigned to Speed Key locations. If you program Function keys on the CL5200J
series you will decrease the total number of Speed Keys available.
• Select speed key set no. You can use this
number when you program menu 1211.

EX) Speed key set No. = 2
• The Speed keys are numbered left-to-right
and top-to-bottom. for standard type,
there are 54 physical keys but using
SHIFT key you can use up to 108 keys.
but for pole type, there are 72 keys if you
press the SHIFT key and then one of the 72
Speed keys, then you can access
Speed keys 73 through 144
• Enter PLU no. to assign speed key
• PLU should be belong to scale department.
