USB Ports
The USB 3.0 ports capable of 5Gbps (SuperSpeed) are classified as USB 3.1 Gen 1. This
model includes 2 * USB 3.0 (USB3,1 Gen 1) ports. On this model, the larger blue ports are
Type A USB ports (Figure 1 - 7)/ (Figure 1 - 8), and the smaller port is a Type C
port (Figure 1 - 8).
Alternatively the USB 3.1 (USB 3.1 Gen 2) Type C port may be replaced (Factory Option)
by a Thunderbolt™ 3 Port (Type C). This port combines the functions of the USB 3.1 and
Thunderbolt port.

Optical Device Drives
To install applications and drivers etc. you will need to attach an external optical CD/DVD
device to the USB ports.
