Do not Disconnect the CD or

DVD drive when your

Notebook is turned on.

Connecting the CD or DVD Drive

To connect the CD or DVD drive to your Notebook, complete

the following steps:

1. Turn off your Notebook.

2. Connect the cable of the CD or DVD drive to the CD or DVD

drive port on the left side of your Notebook.

Inserting a Disc

To load a disc into the disc drive, complete the following steps:

Caution: Improper handling of a CD or DVD can damage the disc

and could potentially damage the drive.

1. Press the Eject button located on the front of the drive.

2. Remove a disc from its protective case, holding the disc by its

center hole and outer edge to avoid touching the surface.
